All Super Heroes Should Know Their Origin Story

As seen on the Facebook feed for DonorChildren:

" #DonorChildren member Chloe13, Chloe Elizabeth, #DonorConceived adult goes to the street in #Melbourne #Australia to ask people about #DonorConception.  Fantastic!! #RUDC"

I have seen other videos by one of the two young women in the video, Chloe Elizabeth, and they are very good.  Many of the videos post by members of the DonorChildren community are very good as many of the individuals are quite articulate in their feelings and thoughts.

"Donor Unknown" - Trailer on YouTube

The above YouTube clip is the trailer for the documentary "Donor Unknown" which I have reviewed below in two earlier blog posts.

News re the movie from its Facebook page:

Eric:

Are there plans at one point to release this movie on DVD? I want to own it to show my donor conceived kids once they get older? I also would be interested in promoting the DVD on my DI-Dad blog.

Donor Unknown:

Hi Eric - thanks for your reviews and comments. We're releasing the DVD in the UK in July. In the US it has to wait until after the broadcast on PBS Independent Lens, which will be in October or November.

YouTube Video Advertising for a Donor Conceived Fiction Book

I was on FaceBook a short time ago and noticed that the founder of one of the donor conceived interest groups had posted a link to a YouTube video titled "My So-Called Fmily" which is the title of one of the two teenager centered books I referred two a few months back.

It turns out the video which looks a bit like a TV show / movie of the week commercial is an advertisement for the book. Now I have seen everything. Based on the video would you buy the book?

The video was posted by TheClassof2K8. I am not sure whether this party is the author, the video's creator, other interested party.

YouTube: One Man's Male Factor Infertility Options

no. 388

I was surfing YouTube this evening and came across a pair of videos posted by Caliban018 regarding his diagnosis of suffering from a Varicocele .

His first entry discussing the pain of learning of infertility reminded me of my own raw pain of learning years ago. After blogging for so long you get used to the faceless interaction as opposed to seeing a person's emotions in their face and not just through their words.

Within his second entry on the topic you learn of the varicocele diagnosis and the options and hope he and his wife have. It is within this entry he discusses those options and the possibility that he could be open to raising "another man's child" if it came to that.

We wish you well Caliban018 and will be hoping your July 2007 varicocele surgery goes well in all respects.
